Sharon resides in Gulfport, MS with her husband, Robert and two adorable dogs, Athena and Atlas. They have a blended family of 6 children and 6 grandsons. Life is full and she is grateful. Sharon enjoys riding bikes, walking the beach, photography, reading and just hanging out with friends and family.
Sharon has practiced yoga for over 25 years. She received her 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance, completing her Advanced Studies Program in 2007 under Kate Coughlin, Director of Downtown Yoga in Pleasanton, CA. She furthered her education in 2015 through a 200 hr Advanced Teacher Training and Yoga Philosophy Studies with Moria Anderson and Laura Tyree at River Rock Yoga in Ocean Springs, MS. Sharon has been fortunate to study under renown yoga teachers in the California Bay Area, including Seane Corne, Rodney Yee, Jason Crandall, Shiva Rea, and Sharon Gannon.
Sharon has a passion for yoga. Developing strength and flexibility in the physical body is something she finds very much needed in today's busy lifestyle. She honors the beauty and presence of each and every moment.
Her teaching brings a true love of yoga with a soothing presence, positive energy and lightness. Sharon believes yoga is a powerful tool for self transformation and healing. She believes yoga improves our health, reduces stress and helps the body age gracefully.
Sharon has also studied and become certified in Barre Intensity and PIYO, as well as, becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Her studies encompassed exercise physiology and psychology, anatomy, and nutrition. She is a firm believer in the whole mind-body concept encompassing the physical, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, environmental and social dimensions of wellness.
In addition to classes, Sharon offers group workshops and one-on-one personal training and guidance for better overall health. She will share what she has learned from her study of the human movement system, helping others to find balance, stability and emotional clarity.
